Privacy Policy

Summary

MediaMeta is a metadata-editing tool. We process the files you upload only to add, read, or remove their embedded metadata, and we return them to you. We do not sell your data, we do not train AI models on your files, and we keep what we collect to the minimum required to operate the service.

What we collect

• Files you upload. Stored only as long as required to process them and return your ZIP download. They are not retained after processing completes.
• Metadata you enter. The titles, descriptions, keywords, and copyright values you type. These travel with the file you download and are not retained on our servers afterwards.
• Account data (signed-in users). Email address used to sign in, and a usage counter to enforce the daily file limit. No payment data unless you upgrade to Pro, which uses Stripe and is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
• Server logs. Standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL) kept for up to 30 days for abuse prevention, debugging, and rate limiting.

What we do not do

• We do not train AI or machine-learning models on your files.
• We do not share or sell your files or metadata to third parties.
• We do not embed advertising trackers or behavioural pixels.
• We do not retain your processed files after the download is delivered.

Cookies and analytics

We use a session cookie when you sign in. If we run privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible) it is aggregated, cookieless, and anonymous. We do not use Google Analytics or third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@mediameta.app and we will respond within 30 days.
