Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using MediaMeta you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

MediaMeta is a web-based tool to edit, view, and remove metadata on supported file formats (JPEG, PNG, WebP, MP4, and PDF). It is offered as-is, without warranty of any kind.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use MediaMeta to:

• Process content you do not own or have permission to modify.
• Upload illegal content, malware, or material that violates third-party rights.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, security controls, or paid-tier restrictions.
• Resell or rebrand the service without a written commercial agreement.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the files and metadata you submit. MediaMeta receives a temporary, limited licence solely to process the file and return it to you. We do not store, share, or train on your content.

5. Accounts and limits

Anonymous users are limited to 3 files per day. Signed-in users are limited to 10 files per day. Pro plan limits, if any, are described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

6. Payments

If you subscribe to Pro, billing is processed by Stripe. You authorise recurring charges until you cancel from the customer portal. Refunds are issued at our discretion for service outages.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MediaMeta is not liable for loss of data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Always keep a backup of original files.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site at least 30 days before they take effect.
